Things were better this past week! I’m still not back to full form, but Dusk Gate just passed 70,000 words, which is significantly better than previous weeks. I’m still not sure how long it’ll be, so we’ll see where it ends up!
I also got another art piece back that was supposed to be for a Mantles of Power omnibus, but I’m not thrilled with it, so I won’t be using it. I’m going to share it at the end of this post, though. Odds are that I’m going to either use the art from last week or commission a new piece, I haven’t decided yet.
Finally, the audiobook of Queen of Diamonds is still waiting on Audible, so I don’t know exactly when it’ll be done. Hopefully soon, but I can’t be sure.
Ancient Dreams 
Agreed. The pic just doesn’t scream COVER!!!!!! There’s to little evidence. Of heat from the flame blade and the ambiance is just a bit darker than I picture the series having in my mind. I’m assuming this is from the storm Phoenix battle section? I don’t recall the elven architecture having mention of gargoyals either

Yeah, there are lots of little issues. You’re completely right on what the scene was supposed to depict. Unfortunately, commissions with multiple characters aren’t cheap, so I doubt I’ll be able to afford something like this one.

Likewise agree. Kitania’s tail was supposed to be long… but it looks like it’s close to 8 ft in the artwork. Not a fan of the wing covers on Rose, either.
On the plus side, glad to hear things are going better for you. Did you ever get the rest of your desk?

I’m certainly not sure how /practical/ the wing armor for Rose is, but I certainly think it’s necessary after how Kitania de-winged a few angels. I’m not sure if the tail is 8 feet, but yeah, it’s long.
Regarding the desk, not yet. I’m not sure if I mentioned that the top was damaged in transit, but they shipped out a new one last week (after I started losing my patience), and FedEx says that it should be here Wednesday. As long as they don’t break it, everything will be fine…

You are right about that picture. But it would be good for a screensaver and graphic novel too. And by the way I know it probably doesn’t seem like much, but thank you for taking time to write books for us strangers.
