Dusk Gate is off with the editor, and Amazon figured things out so the pre-order is actually available on all of their stores! Too bad it took most of a week, but I’ll take victories where I can.
On the other hand, Queen’s Journey has come along well, and in the three days I was writing, I took it from ~12,500 words to ~20,250 words, so I’m excited to see if the momentum keeps up! Some aspects of the story already have surprised me, and I’m curious to see how things work out. I’m really excited to resolve some of the events of Queen of Diamonds.
In other news, the audiobook of Hives & Heroism is complete, and I’m waiting on Audible to review it! With how long the pre-order of Dusk Gate took, I’m not holding my breath, but it should be out sometime in November. I hope so, anyway!
Anyway, that’s about it for news this week! Is there anything in particular you’re looking forward to?
looking forward to Queen’s Journey and Dusk Gate and hopeful more

Hopefully there will be more! I’ve got plenty of plans, after all!

I am curious. How does the publishing process work? You have been talking about it a lot so I am curious.

That’s an excellent question! However, as it’s a /very/ involved thing to answer, even skipping the editing side of things, I’m going to try to write up a blog post going over it on Wednesday. It might turn out to be simpler than I’m expecting, but I doubt it.

Ah that sounds interesting. That kind of information would be handy in a guide book too. 😂

Heh. It’ll go live in 6 hours from now. It’s not new information, though… plenty of other authors have more detailed explanations out there, I’m certain. I’m an odd duck where publishing is concerned, and ignore a fair amount of advice.
