June 16th 2019 Update

Alright, so this week this post better go up on schedule… I hope I schedule it right anyway. But in any case, I managed to get some extra writing done, so Hell’s Ascendant is up to about 87,500 words! I doubt I’m going to finish the book this coming week, but I’m currently expecting it to come in shorter than the other two. Hopefully I’ll have the rough draft done before Mortal Gods is published, but I can’t make any promises, unfortunately. The book takes as long as it takes.

Incidentally, I’ve also been working on Sting & Song in my idle time, which I’ve been sharing some chapters of the rough draft on my Patreon. It’s coming along well, and I’m hoping that as a side project it’ll be out sometime in, oh… October or so. If you’re wondering what it’s about, here’s a quick, vague synopsis of the story: In a world ruled at least partially by game-like mechanics, the deity of chaos wins a bet, and demands a new species be created, the apis, or bee-people. Joy, the happy-go-lucky protagonist, loses her wings in the transformation, and is rescued by a group of adventurers from the upper reaches of a giant rosebush, then joins them in their adventures as everything seems to go wrong at once.

Anyway, that’s what I’ve been up to! For those of you who celebrate it, happy Father’s Day!
