As I expected, I got less done this week than I hoped. Hell’s Ascendant is up to 52,500 words, as I lost a couple of days of writing due to getting new air conditioning installed. On the other hand, it means that the temperature this summer should be far more tolerable, which is good!

That said, the book is being difficult for me to fully immerse myself in, which is a bit concerning. I’m guessing I’m about halfway done, which means it could be shorter than either of the previous books, but the last time I said that the book ended up longer than the others anyway, so take that with a grain of salt.

Either way, the summer is upon me, as is the demand of family on my time, so that’s going to make the next few weeks interesting. I hope those of you who’re going places have fun and are safe! For myself, I’m going to try to enjoy the new A/C system.
