March 4th, 2018 Update

Down with the Queen has been sent to the Beta readers. I’ll be honest, I’m well-ahead of schedule with it, and if it weren’t for the fact my editor can’t get to the book before the 19th, I’d be looking at moving its release date closer. Alas, that isn’t possible, so Down with the Queen is going to have to wait until the 30th. Incidentally, people will be able to apply to be one of my ARC readers with the next newsletter on the 12th, so if you want the chance to read the book almost 2 weeks early, that’s your best chance.

Sarah Goer, the narrator of Born a Queen, should be finishing up the narration of Marin’s Codex in the near future as well, so the audiobook may go live in a few weeks. Alas, I can’t give precise dates yet. I’ve already been working with her to get Down with the Queen on her schedule, but we don’t have firm details on that yet. I know she works with other authors, so it depends on how slammed she might be.

Now, a major question people might end up with is what my next project is… and I still haven’t decided for certain. I’m going to try to write some more chapters of Broken Chains, and there are two short stories to novellas in the world of Ancient Dreams I’ve been considering. I also have a couple of ideas for short stories around Lilith’s Shadow, but those are more nebulous. At the moment I’m kind of leaning toward working on one or two of the projects listed above, then diving into the omnibus for Ancient Dreams. After that is Through the Fire, which should be interesting.

Oh, and if you’re wondering why I’m doing short stories and the omnibus next, it’s because I don’t want to be in the middle of a massive project when I go to Seattle at the end of May. I’m going to the gaming convention PaizoCon over Memorial Day Weekend, and I’d rather not lose focus on a book right in the middle of it.

That’s it for today!
