The manuscript of Tempered in Battle is up to 228,000 words and climbing! I’m also in the middle of the finale, which I fully expect to complete this week, though whether that’ll include the end of the book is questionable. A lot depends on if my muse cooperates, as the setup and everything for the ending is very complex, and I want to do it justice.

But that’s where things are at the moment. This is turning out much longer than I expected, and I’m just riding the story until it’s done so I can see about editing the series into more useable chunks.
