I currently have Tempered in Battle up to about 139,000 words and climbing! I’m planning to do a little writing after finishing this post, so it could be up to 140,000, but that’s for Future Ben to determine. There’s a lot to be determined for the story, so I’ll just leave it at that for now.

I’ve also received word that, absent production delays, the audiobook of Echoes of Chaos will release on September 22nd, 2026. This is very likely to be the final book narrated by Abby Craden, sadly, but such is the way of things. I’ll let you know more once I have information I can share, but I expect that won’t be until after I’ve completed the next Eve of Destruction book.
