Alright, sadly not much of an update to be had this week. I’ve been going through book 2 of Embers of War (Forged in Conflict), and I’ve been speeding up a bit. We’ve had a lot of visitors last week, though, and have a couple of days with another this week, which is slightly slowing me down. Plus I got distracted by reading a story, so… yeah. That happened.

Short Answer: No, it is not.
Longer Answer: The first book is going to be re-titled (currently it’s just Embers of War, but it doesn’t quite fit the theme, and makes a better series title), but it’s not ready to be published yet. When I started writing the books it was a side project, and I decided that I wasn’t going to start releasing a trilogy when I wasn’t sure how long it’d take to finish. So I planned on writing the full trilogy before releasing all three books in 3-6 months. That’s still the plan, so I’m reviewing/editing the first two books, then writing the third (Titled Tempered in Battle). Once I’ve written book 3, I’ll do my second editing pass of book 1, send it to the editor, then repeat the process on the other two, releasing all three in a handful of months.

Nope! Completely new/unique world created for the story. There are some significant back-end differences in magic between Astral Skies and Senkar, not to mention that space doesn’t exist in the latter.
