First off, Seed of Chaos is at about 47,500 words! Not much more to be said about it, Evelyn is being Evelyn. Things are progressing, and I really need to put up a pre-order. I expect March or April for a release, I’ll probably set the pre-order for April just to be safe when I do so.

Tantor Media is going to be producing the audiobooks new Through the Fire trilogy as well! Contracts are signed, I sent them the manuscript, and everything is progressing along those lines there. As part of it, they’re looking at doing a compilation of the first three books (not the omnibus, sadly, since that would require additional recording).

While I like the cover of Obelisk of Blood, getting on the schedule of Mansik Yang can be difficult, and some details were wrong since I commissioned it long before writing. Since I prefer to have the same artist do a whole series when possible, I’ve commissioned Mario Wibisono to do a different cover with more accurate details, though it’ll be approximately the same scene.

In anticipation of the new recording of the Ancient Dreams trilogy by Sarah Goer in the new year, I’m going through Ancient Ruins to do an editing pass specifically to clean up details. Mostly I’m reading it aloud to make the sentences flow smoothly, as well as changing out a few words which I decided to replace in all my series going forward (I’m replacing mithral with mythril). I’m specifically aiming not to alter the story itself, I should add, but I’ve cut a fair number of words by smoothing out sentence structure so far. I may have to hire a proofreader to go over it as I work, honestly.
