Between holidays, family reunions, and family emergencies, I think this last month has been cursed. Not that I’m giving up, but I just wanted to say that things have been rocky. I got some solid writing in, though, so I’m getting back into the swing of things. I’m only going to get three days this coming week, but I’ll try to make the most of them.
Mistress of Chaos is up to ~105,000 words, and shaping up nicely. I’m working on the final part of the story, so it shouldn’t take too much longer. Unfortunately, delays mean that I may be working on it into August. Hopefully not, but we’ll see how it goes. Embers of War is plodding along at a glacial pace, and is at about 125,000 words, with no end in sight. No clue when/if this one will come out, honestly… it doesn’t have a concrete plot constraining it, either.
Not much else to announce besides that! I’ve been fighting off my muse attempting to distract me with other ideas, though. She can be frustrating at times, especially when I’m trying to focus on writing.
Don’t make your muse mad at you, or you’ll end up writing about mutant chickens (with extreme angst issues).
Glad to hear you’re making progress, even if you’d like to be even further ahead. I’m looking forward to the results.
May the day find you well, and your spirit refreshed.
