This week wasn’t much better than last week, as Dusk Gate is up to ~55,500 words, which is at least decent, since I didn’t get any writing in one day this week. I’m trying to build up some momentum, but we’ll see how it goes.
On the other hand, Hives & Heroism has done better than I expected, and I’m happy to see that reactions have been good so far, and if any of you who’ve finished it would leave a review, I’d greatly appreciate it!

Dusk Gate is a story I started on a whim earlier this year, set in the same world as Through the Fire. There are two main characters, but Xandra (from the art I shared early this summer) is one of them. She’s about as far from me personality-wise as Joy is, but more like Amber from Lilith’s Shadow. I’m going to try to finish Dusk Gate before starting on the next Lilith’s Shadow book.
