Tempered in Battle is currently up to ~127,500 words! The last contractor work is done, so I don’t foresee any further disruptions this summer. Hopefully.
I mentioned this elsewhere, so I figure I’ll reiterate it here. The next project after I get Embers of War situated and the first volume(s) to the editor is Talyn’s Saga, and I’ll be having a multi-year timeskip between the books. How long is to be determined, but I figure it’s good to let all of you know in advance.
Beyond that, I don’t have a lot to say. It’s been busy and hot around me, making it more difficult to concentrate, but hopefully it gets better in the near future!
Ancient Dreams 
Nice, time skipping is a bold move, it also allows to pull up tricks from the sleeve that the character learned before.

To get to red Talyn again will be great. But, if there is a Multi year time skip that would change not only the strength of Talyn and her group but also the political fallout from how the last book ended with the Demons. It will be interesting to see how things pan out.
I am confident that you will handle the transition with care. I enjoyed the world as a whole. The times when Talyn would travel and we would get to experience the wider world was quite nice. I hope there is more of that.

Yeah, my current plan with the timeskip is to figure out how long it needs to be to hit the level benchmark I have in mind, then I’ll do several scenes of intervening events in between so the timeskip doesn’t feel quite as jarring. That’s the hope, anyway!

or the next Talyn book although loving that series I’m a bit disappointed about the timeskip … I kinda love watching how she levels up and all the troubles she gets into and solve, making the other say “damn the worldwalker did it again”.
Another series I can’t wait for the following books is beesong. I know you said it hasn’t been as popular but I just can’t help knowing what happens to Jo. I just love her exuberance and loyal mind, the way she defied Death just to be with her friends… and I really want to know if/how she manages to get back the them and how their adventures go.
In any case, great job on your books I’m almost through them all so can’t wait for the next!

As for the timeskip… I like seeing her grow as well, but the next while is intended to be calm as the city stabilizes. I could do some slice of life, but it’d be a pretty big change from the books thus far, so I chose the timeskip option. There will probably be a chapter of out-of-context scenes in between, though.
Beesong is on my eventual list, but it’s after I complete either Talyn’s Saga or Eve of Destruction. I need something new to keep my muse happy, and juggling even three series is hard. But I want to do more with Joy!
