I currently have Tempered in Battle up to approximately 120,000 words, and it’s currently going strong. I don’t know how long the book will end up being, so I don’t have an estimate of when I’ll be done, unfortunately. Either way, my current plan is to get it done as quick as I can, then edit the first book for publication. Whether I break it into more volumes or not is still up in the air, though. I’ll definitely keep you all informed on that part.
I’ve got a few things I’d like to do, such as ordering art for the collection of Obelisk of Blood, Temple of the Sun, and Circle of Ashes, but unfortunately I haven’t been able to decide on a good scene for it. I half-wish I’d chosen a different cover for Circle of Ashes, as the current cover feels like it’d have been ideal for the collection. I’ll keep considering it as I try to get everything in order.
And to be clear about future plans, my next project is a return to Talyn’s Saga, so there’s that to look forward to as well! Anyway, that’s all I have to share this week!

So is Talyn’s next book after the three Embers of War books?

It’s a little more complicated than that. Essentially, my plan is to schedule all the Embers books to release one or two months apart and rapidly edit them so it’s easy for the editor to just punch them out one after another. Then I’m going to write the Talyn book. Now, when will the Talyn book come out? Good question! It could come out before all the Embers books are out, depending on timing. I just don’t know yet.

Great, It seem like Talyn’s book is coming for Xmas perhaps. Also i read a book that reminded me a lot of Talyn at least at the beginning.
