I have Tempered in Battle up to about 39,000 words, and just completed an unexpected side plot. One that’s… let’s just say that it fits pretty well in my mind, and we’ll see how it influences the rest of the book. Even if it’s slowed down what I planned on what would happen.

The story is coming together pretty well, in my mind, and I just got the final draft for the first book’s cover this week, so you’ll get to see it next week. I’m likely to be a bit slow this coming week, as we have a new boiler being installed, potentially some other contractors coming out, and an eye exam where my eyes are going to be dilated. I suspect the latter will shut me down for a good part of the day.
