Sorry about the late update, I got the current COVID booster shot (and the flu shot) and it knocked me thoroughly on my butt for all of yesterday. Didn’t sleep well either, but that’s how it goes. With an author convention next month, I’m not taking chances in that regard.

First and foremost, I finished the rough draft of Obelisk of Blood! It’s about 107,000 words, a bit over my goal of 90,000-100,000, but not too much over. I’m sure it’ll grow when I edit it properly, but this week it’s in the hands of my Alpha Readers. I’ll be setting up a pre-order this week as well, which ironically will likely launch while I’m at said convention. I’m anticipating a November 13th release date, for what it’s worth, though I may push it back a week so I’m home when it launches. Still thinking about it.

And speaking of that week, I also got confirmation that the audiobook pre-order for Dawn of Chaos is up! That will release on November 14th, and I’m excited to see what you think! Another link: https://www.audible.com/pd/B0CKV1X3GZ

  2. I honestly haven’t decided on whether it makes sense as an omnibus yet. I suspect I’ll wait until I finish the series before breaking them out into sets for omnibi, since I could end up with a number not divisible by three, and I’d prefer books with similar themes to be grouped together.

    Another issue is length, I barely fit Ancient Dreams into a paperback omnibus, since Amazon has an absolute limit of about… 820 pages (I don’t remember the exact number, but it’s close to that). Since the books of Eve of Destruction are generally longer, it’s possible I won’t be able to fit three books in a single volume.

    So yeah, lots of things to consider when I get to that point.
