So, not a lot to say at the moment. There’s slightly more than a week before the release of Talyn: Unyielding, and I’ve spent much of the last week trying to rest and recover. This coming week will likely be more of that, though I’ll admit that some of it will be spent on going over the edited manuscript, formatting it, uploading it to Amazon, and all of that sort of thing. That should only take half a day, though.
This month will be further complicated by one of my wife’s best friends coming to visit and taking them all over the place for about a week, plus a trip. It’s going to be busy.
All of that being said, I imagine that the main question in most of your minds is, what book comes next? Unfortunately, my answer is… I don’t know.
This year has been incredibly rough, and I’m mentally exhausted. My muse appears to have taken a vacation, as she isn’t clamoring for any project in particular at the moment, which is unusual. I’m considering several options, and figure I’ll re-read a couple of books in the coming week or two to see what sparks my interest.
In the meantime, here’s another art piece! This time, I decided to get art of Kel’Nef, from Soul Bound. It was illustrated by Crystal Rain, and I hope you like it!

Seems to me as though the past 1 1/2 years has been challenging. This might be a good time to step away, defrag the mental hard drive as it were. We all hit the “Ok, now what?” symptoms from time to time.
I do like the artwork of Kel’Nef. Very nicely done, and thankfully not in the typical fantasy female fashion.
Hopefully life won’t be too frantic when your wife’s friend shows up.

Honestly, last year? It wasn’t too bad, as I recall. Even the pandemic was… just a little weird because my wife was working from home. But the last seven months have been brutal. I’m trying to do exactly as you say. Defrag, relax, then get back into the swing of things.
Glad you like the art! As for the friend, it’s just going to be taking him lots of places. I may bow out of some of them.
