Since my wife had a long weekend coming up, I did some extra work this past week to get ahead on Talyn: Descent, so I’m up to ~42,500 words, and I’m really having fun with what’s happening in the book! I’m not sure when it’ll be done just yet, but I’m hoping to have it edited and finished by the end of November. Not promises, though, since holiday season in the USA is coming up.
Beyond that, I don’t have a lot to say this week. Books are coming along well, I think, and I think that I’m stabilizing after the insanity of this summer. I’ll probably take a week or two off after finishing Talyn: Descent as well. Anyway, that’s what I had to say! Be safe, everyone!
Hey there,
I just finished Mantles of Power (I started the first book when it came out, but it didnt click for some reason and wanted to give it another try and here we are). I just wanted to let you know that it was really good (I wanted to say this because I remember the pole where it got last place of all your books and this is simply to say: the series is great!)
I do hope we get the answers for a few big questions left (like what IS Kats mantle, where do the relationships go, where do they settle AND: does Kat get a little sister?)
In relation to your post, please dont push yourself to hard and enjoy your time off
I really love your work (started your books when Halls of Power came out), thanks for the effort!

I’m glad that you enjoyed the trilogy! While it isn’t the one that performed the best, I’m pretty happy with how things turned out overall with Mantles of Power. I doubt I’ll ever add another book to the series, but I could be wrong.
As for the questions… in order: Undetermined, quite well, Alserah’s domain (for now), and most likely.
But I’m definitely trying not to push myself too hard. It doesn’t do any good if I burn out, after all! And thank you so much for your support!

That remains to be seen, honestly. I have cover art, I have a plot, I just need time and the motivation to write it. It doesn’t help that it’s one of my two least profitable series to date, which factors into my decisions.
