Getting the first shot of the COVID-19 vaccine wiped me out for a couple of days this week, so I only got Queen’s Gambit up to ~70,000 words. Not nearly as far as I wanted to get, but it’s how it goes. Honestly, I didn’t even realize I had any side effects at first, it was only after half a day passed by with my brain feeling like mush that I realized it was causing me issues. I’m pretty much over it at this point, and hoping to finish the rough draft this month. I’ve also commissioned artwork for it, but Mario Wibisono, the same artist who did the covers of Queen of Diamonds and Queen’s Journey, is busy until later in the month so it’ll probably be into May before I’ve got cover art.
Speaking of cover art, I’ve decided to hold off on sharing what I got for Evelyn until I have something I feel is accurate, which is also going to be coming from Mario after Queen’s Gambit is done. I’m just not happy with sharing it at this point. The audiobook of Queen’s Journey seems to be stuck in review hell on Audible, so getting it via other channels like Google Play, Chirp, Nook, or others seems to be the best idea at this point unless you’re fine with waiting. Nothing I can do about Audible, unfortunately.

Ancient Dreams 
I haven’t gone out to get the vaccine shot yet (on my list but since I’m pretty much a retired recluse I don’t consider it quite as needful as if I were working), though I do encourage anyone who has the opportunity to get it to do so. Take your time in your writing; while I’m salivating at the thought of a new book, I understand that you’ve been feeling a bit crunched about having a bit of writer’s block and the number of stories you want to tell. I did pre-order Adept of Chaos even though you’ve got a date of next year for it, simply because I’m looking forward to what happens next. Take your time, stay safe, and above all enjoy life. I barely put up the pre-order for Adept of Chaos this morning, you found it quick!
I should say, I have about 1/4 of Adept of Chaos done. I expect to finish and publish it this summer, but I set the pre-order out a year (the maximum Amazon allows) so it couldn’t cause me /more/ anxiety over scheduling. I really want to tell it.
