Hell’s Ascendant is at about 115,000 words, and I’m working through the weekend on it, since I’m pretty sure I’m close to the end of the book. With any luck I’ll have the first draft done before I go to NASFiC 2019 this week, and hopefully also have feedback from my Alpha readers sometime next week so I can finish it up.
Speaking of NASFiC, I doubt anyone there will recognize me, but if any of you are going, I’m going to have two copies of the Ancient Dreams Omnibus on hand while I’m there, which I’ll give to anyone who asks me for them! Only the two, mind you, and I’m also going to meet a few of my favorite authors as well, namely David Weber and Jim Butcher.
Beyond all of that, my life’s been a little crazy on the personal front of late, which has been wearing me down. That’s a large part of why I’m planning to take a few weeks off once Hell’s Ascendant is done. Or, to be far more accurate, I’m going to try to take a few weeks off. I don’t have much faith I’ll succeed, but I’ll do my best.
In any case, Mortal Gods comes out a week from tomorrow! I don’t know about anyone else, but I’m certainly excited! Everything is uploaded and ready for release. Have a great week, everyone!
