Queen of Ice is up to ~95,000 words, and I’m not done yet, not even with the rough draft. This past week was a bit rough on writing, mind you, primarily because we had the water lines of our house replaced, and that kind of shot an entire day for me. When heavy machinery and banging is going on, it’s hard to concentrate on writing a fantasy story, sadly.
I hope to finish this coming week, but I can’t guarantee it. Fortunately I built a couple of weeks of leeway into my schedule, so I should have more than enough time to get it ready for the editor and publication.
Other than that, there hasn’t been much of note for me this past week. I think something went weird on Amazon’s site, because my book recommendations have been full of stuff that doesn’t have anything to do with what I read, like learning Japanese and other random books that don’t have anything to do with what I’ve searched for at any point, let alone bought. It’s rather puzzling. It does make it rather hard to find things to read, which is a touch depressing.
I still haven’t figured out my next series, but I suspect that’s partially because I was stressed this past week. Once I have Queen of Ice complete I’ll look at it seriously while I let Alpha Readers look the book over. Hopefully I’ll have it figured out by October, but I don’t know.
Anyway, that’s it for today!
