Right. So, I tried to increase my daily production to 3,000 words during the week, hoping to get Halls of Power to 50,000 words, and I succeeded… technically, anyways. I didn’t manage it during the week, but I managed to barely squeak by to 50k overall last night.
It was a rough week, both for inspiration and interruptions, none of which I can nail down a cause for. I suspect that part of my issue is I’m terrified I’m going to screw up Halls of Power and disappoint everyone. I dunno for sure.
That being said, this week is going to be light on the writing. On Wednesday I head out, meeting a friend in Washington state (Spokane to be specific), then heading to Seattle for PaizoCon on Thursday. I’ll be up there through Monday, then start heading back Tuesday. I may or may not be home on Wednesday, if so I’ll be getting back into writing then, so I’m effectively taking a 1-week vacation.
I will be giving a summary of what stories to expect in Before the Godsrage next Sunday, though. I’ll be busy, so I’m going to write up the blog post and schedule it to go live on the 28th. Don’t worry, by summary, I’m talking about a book description explanation, nothing more.
Hope everyone is doing great, though!
