Now, on to other news! I finished going over Crisis of Faith and sent it off to Sarah Beth Goer to let her start working on it. Doing so was a lot more involved than I expected, but I’m pretty happy with how it turned out. As a reminder, this is a long-term project, and a bit of an unexpected addition to my plans. It’s underway, though, so… it’ll be done when it’s done. I do have new cover art underway from Crystal Rain, focusing on a certain Empress.
I’ve gotten back to work on Embers of War, which is (currently) both the title of the first book and the series. I’m not incredibly far into it, as I’m both reviewing it and doing an editing pass as I go. I’m not sure how fast I’ll get through the first two books, as Crisis of Faith took significantly longer than I anticipated, but I’m hoping to start on Tempered in Battle by the time Echoes of Chaos is out. A large part of the slower pace is that I’m putting in details for all the world elements and characters in a world bible as I go, so I don’t have to re-create it later and miss a ton of stuff.
On a slightly different subject, I intend to start revamping how to handle my Newsletter, yes, I have one, so there’s going to be a few changes in the pipeline in that regard. Sign-ups will be getting a single-use code for a discount on my Fourthwall store, for what it’s worth, but that’s not happening right now. There’s a lot of work going into it.
I’ve also discussed going over the short stories currently on this site, properly editing them and collating them into an anthology. This is just idle thoughts from me, and would probably be a project in between other ones currently on my massive list of things to do.
And… I think that’s everything I wanted to address today. Release dates, announcements, links… oh, there was one more thing!
I (finally) hired someone to finish a logo for my business, so I may be adding/revamping a few things to add it in the near future. Technically, I have four versions, but I decided on one. Now I just have to figure out how I want to display it…
