February 23rd 2026 Update

First, the good news! My editor is mostly through Echoes of Chaos, and I expect to get the edited version back in the next few days, depending on their schedule. It’ll definitely be ready in time for the April release, so we’re on-track there!

As for the bad news, my hope to get working on Silent Songstress this week didn’t happen. Between weather-induced malaise and general distraction, I didn’t get anything done. It doesn’t help that my muse got distracted by a different shiny, but I hope to get her back on-track this week. Maybe I can bribe her with a sugar trail leading to the correct story…

I’ve begun contacting a couple of artists about pieces my Patrons wanted, so we may get a few Beesong and Talyn art pieces in the coming months. Anyway, that’s the news for the week! Later, all!

  1. Well i hope nobody is pressuring you on Songstress son it would be better if you make it on your own pace. Cheers.

  2. I love the stories that you write. I have a couple of questions for you. Will Beesong Chronicles audiobooks get an omnibus for volumes 1-3? Second question is whether Crisis of Faith will be narrated by Sarah Beth Goer in the future.

  3. I’m glad you’ve enjoyed them! As for your questions, I keep meaning to contact Reba Buhr about getting the front and back matter narrated I’d need for an omnibus collection, but I’ve never gotten around to it. I’ll put that on my list for later today.

As for Crisis of Faith being narrated by Sarah, that’s unlikely. Mostly because of the cost involved, as doing so would cost well over $3,000 USD, and I’m unsure it’d make that back. The reasons I had the original trilogy re-recorded to begin with were that I was ending a contract and the other party owned the audio rights to it, and there were some persistent problems in the depiction of Sistina which crept in from the beginning which I wanted fixed. If I’d been more experienced at the time, I would’ve realized I could’ve gotten them adjusted, but I didn’t, so… yeah. That’s how things turned out. Though now that you’ve brought it up, I’ll look into it. It’s always possible numbers have changed.

  4. Update!

Reba Buhr replied and got me the recordings I needed in less than 24 hours to make the omnibus. Now I feel dumb not having contacted her sooner. The audiobook is now available on My Fourthwall Site, and I’ve begun the (long) process for Audible.

As for Crisis of Faith, as I expected, the sales really don’t justify it at present. I’ll try to keep an eye on them to see if that changes, though.
