I’m almost done with Circle of Ashes! Well, I’m almost done with the rough draft. As the time of this writing, I’m a couple hundred words over 180,000 words, making it the longest single published book I’ve written to date. The second-longest is about 161,000 words, though I think one of my other unpublished books is a bit longer. I’m not certain of that.
In either case, I’ve finished the climax, and now I’m just working on the final chapter(s) of the book. I think it’ll only be one and an epilogue, but we’ll see how that works out. I expect to finish the book today, and I’ll be doing a quick editing pass before sending it to my alpha readers over on Patreon (anyone at the Grandmaster tier or higher will get a copy). Just to point out to anyone tempted to sign up, this would be a draft, so it won’t be nearly as polished as the final, and it’s possible I’ll make significant changes, including adding or removing scenes. I usually don’t do either, but it’s happened before.
In any case, once I’ve done that, and found out the editor’s availability, I’ll be putting up a pre-order for Circle of Ashes. That’s all for the week!
Great news, after this and Eve, do you have another committed work or you get to choose what to write? Perhaps a visit Beesong or Sistina?

While I get to choose, I’m currently thinking I’ll write volume three of my Embers of War story, as I have two books done and intend to rapidly publish them once I have all three ready. But I may go for a new story, or Beesong or Lilith. Sistina’s story is done, though. I’ve no intention of returning to Ancient Dreams.
