Talyn: Blooming Released!

Talyn: Blooming is now out! Or at least it’d better be, I got everything to Amazon early, dang it. I’m in bed when this post is coming out. I hope you all enjoy it!

I got a bit done on Circle of Ashes this past week as well, though the holiday and my wife taking a staycation to work on the house interfered a bit. This may happen later this summer as well, as we’re getting the ancient wiring of our house brought up to date (our house was built in 1944, and I’m pretty sure it’s original wiring). It’s at about 52,500 words, which isn’t shabby. Not amazing, but not shabby. Here’s to hoping this week is better!

As other news, I’ve also had pages put together on World Anvil for all my series, and while I doubt they’re complete, it should have at least most characters and such included in them at this point. Half the reason I had them collated was to help me when I decide to write more stories. I should note I learned a bit about organization as I worked through them, so some will look nicer than others. Here’re links to each:

  1. Am reading it now, i think i needed a refresher of all the characters oops. At least i still remember the main cast if not by name by job and description. I don’t remember if it was stated if the difficulty of leveling increases with higher levels so a level 997’s character is way more powerful than a level 987?

  2. Yeah, I totally get that on the sheer number of characters. It’s part of why I reiterate the character descriptions on first seeing them in the book, despite the editor not liking me doing that.

As for leveling, while it has been stated it gets more difficult to level as you grow stronger, that doesn’t necessarily mean the power each level provides increases dramatically. What really makes the difference is what abilities a character gets, as an ‘optimized’ ability list will allow someone to wreck even higher-level enemies who aren’t optimized. And the Guardians are all hyper-optimized to fight groups of people at their level.

  3. Great book! Love the new characters. The bonus section was a satisfying addition. I have just two observations if you like to hear them.
