Unfortunately for me, the trip to Las Vegas wasn’t conducive to writing, as Bloom of Chaos is only up to ~76,000 words. This was amplified by receiving news that my editor unexpectedly passed away. While I knew she had cancer, we’d both expected she had a few more years with her current treatment regimen. Needless to say, this was an enormous shock for me, and I’m taking a short break while I try to get my thoughts in order.
There isn’t much else for me to say at the moment, as I’m in quite a bit of shock.

if you have a good relationship with said editor may I suggest writing a cameo appearance in one of your books? For example there was the college that Evelin had to help out a couple books the one where she killed the star eater that’s a place of learning and is the closest this in this series that I would associate an editor doing. Just shooting ideas. Sorry if this comes offensive it isn’t supposed to be

I was considering something similar as it was. Eve of Destruction was her favorite of my series (she loved Evelyn’s snark), so I’m pondering putting in a character using her online name as a sort of homage.
