Alright, things did not go as planned this past week. My sickness was more persistent than expected, which slowed me down. However, as of the time of this writing I think I’m back to full health, or as close to it as I think I’m likely to get in the short term.
In the past two weeks I’ve reviewed Beesong Chronicles and Through the Fire. I also resisted the urge to go into a full edit on them. My writing style has evolved significantly since I wrote either series, especially Through the Fire. To see what the muse was interested in, I wrote the first chapter of the next book for each of them, as well as for Eve of Destruction 5, and asked the opinions of my Beta Readers.
The general consensus was that they were all good. Which… didn’t actually help that much. In the end, I think that I’m going to start with Through the Fire. Ruethwyn has been practically begging for a continuation to the series for years, and I should give it a solid shot. No guarantees that I won’t run skull-first into writer’s block, but the first chapter felt promising. Well, the second attempt at it did. The first… did not.
Anyway, there you have it! I hope you all have a wonderful week!
