I’ve decided to give updates on my writing progress each Sunday, so as to get a schedule of sorts down. Yesterday I didn’t get much writing in, less because I was distracted and more because I wanted to finish reading through and editing Ancient Ruins again. I finished it, uploaded it, and now it’s claiming to be a different length. I may have to re-upload again, I’m debating. If you see any errors, please let me know, I hate having them in there.
Spells of Old has reached just under 34,000 words. I expect to hit about 35,000 today, hopefully more. We’ll see. Once again, I’m not sure how long this book will end up being, so don’t anticipate it coming out at a specific word count! Ancient Ruins was only about 97,000 words before I edited it the first time, meaning it grew by 20k when I did my first re-write.
In other news, I commissioned a piece for the cover of Spells of Old yesterday. The picture is intended to be of Phynis, and it’s by Jackie Wei again.
Lastly, I read every review people make on Amazon or Goodreads, and try to keep an open mind about the concerns or complaints you might have. If you have questions, just ask. I try to be open about replying. But in the meantime, I will get back to writing!
