Born of Chaos is up to ~140,000 words! New Year’s interfered more with writing than I’d hoped it would, but I still got a fair bit done, and things are moving along well! Assuming my writing goes smoothly, I’m confident of finishing the rough draft this week. But we’ll see if it runs long… it could happen. I adore this last part of the book, too, so I hope everyone else does when you get to read it!
And to be clear when I publish the ebook of Born of Chaos, it will be available in every storefront I have access to, including Amazon. It just won’t be in Kindle Unlimited.
In other news, I’ve put up my Fourthwall Store! It’s currently missing Lilith’s Shadow, as I’ve hit the limit on the number of products I can have as a free member, but if it proves able to pay for the fees, I’ll spring for it and get the rest of my books up. For those who’re wondering, the prices via Fourthwall are the same as other storefronts on ebooks, and audiobooks are set lower, where I reasonably can do so ($9.99 for individual books at present, and $19.99 for omnibuses). They’re also without DRM, and delivered via BookFunnel. I’ll note that I cannot put up audiobooks of Eve of Destruction, Talyn’s Saga, or Through the Fire. Those are contractually reserved by Podium and Tantor, so they get to put them up where they want.
Here’s a list of links to various webstores where my books are now up, including the Fourthwall store. I’ll note these are just the ones where I was able to find a link to an author page for myself or similar. There are more stores where I know the books are available (or going up), including Gardners, Tolino, and Vivlio, as well as the library sites Overdrive, Odilo, cloudLibrary, Hoopla, and Borrowbox. I just couldn’t find links in a reasonable amount of time.
Webstores
Anyway, that’s it for the week!
Edit: I forgot to add information about how books are delivered. Here’s what I said in the comments.
Books are delivered via BookFunnel, which will allow you to download the files directly. You have to download for the first time within a specific timeframe, but once you do you should be able to follow the link they give you to re-download it wherever. It’s easier if you make an account, before or after claiming the book. If you do, it’ll be in your BookFunnel library permanently, so you can browse or re-download whenever.
Bookfunnel handles customer support, which I’ve always had a good experience with. They have a page which makes it easy to send ebooks directly to your kindle device (their page on it: https://bookfunnel.com/send-to-kindle/). Unfortunately, Audible doesn’t allow non-Audible content to be played on their app, so that isn’t an option. You should be able to listen to it with either BookFunnel’s app, or any audio playback app.
if I buy on the fourth wall store where would the ebooks and audiobooks go? Would I need to download another app to be able to use them or would I be able to get them on kindle and audible app after purchase?

Happy new year.
Sorry to hear about amazon, i guess if they use ai to read all the book, there is chance they use it to train writer AIs.

Oh, I answered this elsewhere (and forgot to mention it above), so here’s the info, adjusted to fit your questions.

I’ll add this to the post above.

Happy New Year to you as well!
Yeah… I’m not happy with Amazon at the moment. While they claim they aren’t training on it (which would be dumb to lie about, since it’d hurt them more in court), it’s closer to creating an annotated version of the books or an index for them, both of which normally require separate contracts/licensing, which normally means paying the authors more. Obviously, they’re not doing that. It’s not a great situation.
